The University of Minnesota Outreach, Research and Education (UMore) Park is the University's 5,000-acre property located 25 miles southeast of the Twin Cities in Dakota County. The vision to build a unique, sustainable, University-founded community of 20,000 to 30,000 people, a 25- to 30-year endeavor, was affirmed by the University's Board of Regents in December 2006.
The plan for this new, sustainable community integrates environmental, socio-cultural and economic opportunities with a specific focus on innovations in renewable energy, education and lifelong learning, health and wellness, the natural environment and regional economic development.
Planning and development for UMore Park is founded upon the University's academic mission—research, education and public engagement—making UMore Park a distinctive planned community in the nation. Work based on the concept master plan for UMore Park is underway.

Sustainability planning reports are now available. The Aspirational Goals and Action Plan for Sustainability along with a summary companion was completed by the UMore Development LLC. The Integration Plan completed by Joachim Eble Architektur connects the vision of the property with the aspirational goals for sustainability.
An Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) has been initiated by the City of Rosemount to review the potential impacts of development on the property and the surrounding area. The process is set to conclude summer 2013. Visit the City's website for more information.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has just completed its fourth Five-Year Review of the University of Minnesota Rosemount Research Center Superfund Site. View the 2012 report.

A team of four graduate students from the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs who completed a capstone project on Sustainable Development for UMore Park and the City of Rosemount have been selected as the winner of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Planning Association 2012 Outstanding Student Project Award.
The 2012 Progress Report on publicly engaged research, education and outreach at UMore Park is now available. The report chronicles the academic foundations of UMore park and the partnerships, events and reports that have enhanced our work.
