Sustainable Communities Interdisciplinary Lecture 2011

More than 200 people attended the second annual UMore Park Sustainable Communities Interdisciplinary Lecture on Thursday, September 29, featuring internationally renowned sculptor, artist and landscape architect Herbert Dreiseitl, founder of Atelier Dreiseitl in Ueberlingen, Germany. Dreiseitl seeks to awaken a new understanding of sustainability through incorporating public art in landscape planning solutions and implementing ground-breaking contemporary designs in the fields of urban hydrology, water design, stormwater management, urban planning and landscape architecture.  The lecture highlighted examples and best practices from Dreiseitl’s 30 years of experience in designing and implementing sustainable waterscapes for livable cities throughout the world.

Rapson Hall is located on the University of Minnesota's East Bank Minneapolis campus, located at 89 Church Street SE. View a map or get directions to Rapson Hall.

Parking is available in both the Church Street Garage across the street, 4th Street Ramp north of Rapson Hall, and the Washington Avenue Ramp to the south.
